GoSmart, Net10 & Page Plus - No longer available for new customers.

Effective 11/01/22, the Tracfone brands - GoSmart Mobile, Net10 & Page Plus are no longer available for new customers.

As I mentioned in my previous post (09/28/22) :

“The names GoSmart, Net10, Simple Mobile, Tracfone will be brands of the past - even Straight Talk (Walmart). As for Page Plus, I’m not even sure how they’re still around and what they’ll do with that brand - maybe they’ll keep that brand name for the sake of it, but they’ll most likely phase it out as well into Total.”

I mentioned that Verizon would get rid of these brands and with it being no longer being able to bring in new customers effective 11/01/2022, the process to dissolve these brands have already began… sooner than I thought.

With that being said, Verizon will start rebranding these 3 brands to Total by Verizon sooner than I thought. I think the rebranding of these 3 carriers is their “phase 1” to see how the transition goes. They will give the customers the option to upgrade their device to be compatible with the Verizon network or to some of their loyal customers, they may offer them a free basic smartphone (like AT&T Prepaid did when the 3G network shutdown). Or they may guide them to their nearest local Total by Verizon store with discounts and offers for these 3 customers.

As with Simple Mobile, the transition will start once the migration is complete or nearly done and the brand Simple Mobile will phase out too.

And the brand Total by Verizon will be the new brand of it all (like Metro by T-Mobile & Cricket Wireless (AT&T)).

To all my fellow multi-carrier dealers, don’t put all your eggs in one brand - especially Simple Mobile at this moment. Start to diversify your activations/port-ins to other carriers.

Start now and build up your customer base on other carriers ‘cause in the end the brand Simple Mobile will be gone and all, if not most of your customers will be at your local Total by Verizon store.
